Wood Wood AW18 - LFWM
Wood Wood reflected the move of fashion from a street aesthetic to a smarter more buttoned up style for their first presentation at London Fashion Week Men's. Paradoxically, they looked to their childhood for the inspiration for this, which constructed a colourful, idyllic vision of what it means to be a grown-up. This was communicated in sleekly cut tailoring in simple but luxe fabrics, layered with styling that could help the working young man or woman transition from the cold seasons to the summer. Indeed, the models were dressed to go somewhere, whether they were getting on the tube to work or if they were going on a city trip to Europe, the collection definitely considered what the youth needs in their day to day life, but ever conscious that the youth in this day want to show their style and how you look is important to them as much irl as in their Instagram fitpics.
